If we go back to this season's premier league's results, whenever Manchester United have dropped points, Arsenal have followed them (though not in the same proportion). Arsenal have had a lot of chance this season to go back to the top of the table, but every time, I must say that they have skillfully (rather lack of skills) managed to loose it. Hats off to the team!!!!! Though the team is only partly to be blamed for the draw yesterday to Sunderland, the other part of the blame should go to the referee.... This was not the first occasion this season, they have done it time and time again this season. Right from losing the home derby match to drawing against Newcastle after scoring 4 goals!!!! Its been a special season for the Gunners, more so, if one looks at the backdrop of the trophy drought (its been almost 6 yrs, since they had won a trophy). They had a very good chance to make amends for all these by winning the carling cup, which they unfortunately lost to Birmingham city.....
"End justifies means" - doesnt seem to fit in for Arsenal..... Anybody who's a fan of Arsenal,is so because of the kinda game they play. But that doesnt seem to produce the desired result in the end, atleast till now this season...
Lets c how the season pans out for Arsenal considering that they still have to potential to win the remaining three trophies with big matches lined up in the coming week.... Against Barca on 8th march (Champions League), Man U on 12th march(F.A Cup) and the routine Premier League fixtures to follow..... Apart from this the most fixture that the Arsenal fans will be looking forward to is the Premier league clash at Anfield today between Man U and Liverpool..... Hope Man U drop 3 points, which will give Arsenal one more chance to narrow down the gap. ( But going by the past trend, Arsenal will also drop points, when Man U does so..... By law of averages that has to change, hope that happens in the immediate fixture)
